You simply visit our website or plant shop in Calgary, make your selections and you’ll have a lovely gift that’s made for your intended recipient!
Buying this type of plant online can feel a bit strange at first because you’re really compiling all of the components for a personal gift. It’s very similar to going to a teddy bear building or wreath-making session but instead of doing it in person, you make all of your choices online. We do offer the option to come to our plant shop in Calgary, but most of our customers don’t have time for that so they make their orders online. Our website has been set up to make online selections as easy as possible.
When you come to our website (or plant shop) to create a Planstie, here are the options you’ll have a chance to choose:
● Plant type - All of the plants we have available are online. You can see what they look like and even read about what the plant symbolizes which can add to the personalized nature of this gift. You can review the plant’s care requirements and if they have any concerns such as not being safe for pets. This info is invaluable in choosing the right plant. It also makes it easier to buy online because this info is right at hand versus in the plant shop where it can be harder to locate.
● Planter or Pot - You can also choose the shape, color, and texture of the pot that the plant will come in. There are various selections you can make based on the plant you’ve chosen and where it will be kept by the person you are sending it to.
● Name and Persona - You can also name the Plantsie yourself and choose from one of our pre-selected personas. This is great when you’re sending the plant to a friend or to your Mom. There are notes already made to express your appreciation and the name is cut onto a piece of wood (similar to a popsicle stick) and added to the planter.
● Additions - You can also choose from a variety of other additions such as adding another pop of personality with a logo or message on the additional sticks.
When you have made all of your online selections, we assemble your Plantsie and wrap it in fully recyclable materials. In fact, everything that comes with your Plantsie is either recyclable or compostable. The plant lover in your life will love this added benefit!
If you are not ready to do all of this online (it’s quick and simple, we promise), you can absolutely come into our plant shop to choose in-person or to even have someone on our team assist you with suggestions. If you are placing a larger gift order such as for several clients or a bridal party, we can also chat over the phone or in-person to make the process faster and easier.
